Evolution of Designs in Advertising

In the past few decades, the designs of advertising have evolved in a beautiful way to suit the audiences and achieve greater milestones. The internet is the key area that witnessed the largest impact on advertising evolution. Let’s gain an insight into the introduction of online advertising and how the various advertising designs evolved over the decades.

The inception

In 1472, the publishing of the first print ad took place for a book. Further, an ad was first published in the newspaper in 1704 in the US. Followed by this, circus posters were displayed on the US Billboards and the era of advertising took off for the better.

The Golden Era

In the early 1900s, advertising was taken to another level with television and radio. Because of this, there was a touch of personalization in its talk shows. After that, the advertising timeline achieved a milestone with the introduction of legal commercials on television sets. The Golden Era of Advertising saw companies establishing a connection between their brands & the customers to sell their products. That’s when there arose the need for online advertising to make things simpler.

Online and Mobile Advertising

Next jumped into online and mobile advertising to create brand awareness through new channels. Mobile marketing initiatives were taken to experiment with mobile ads. This came up with the incorporation of newer technologies for adding personalization and user engagement. With that, some challenges like ad blockers and lack of trust were visible. However, user-generated content became an essential part of advertising to easily target consumers.

Post-click in the game

As advertising evolved through the various stages, the primary goal is to personalize ads in a way so that consumers get what they want. User engagement and product purchases are made for the post-click stage to boost your brands.
